Dr Seth has been in professional practice since 1999. Dr Seth's first practice was in London, UK, and has been back in Calgary since 2001.
Dr Seth believes that good health results from having a plan. Chiropractic care plays a large role in the plan to be healthy.
When not serving our patients, Dr Seth enjoys an active lifestyle, and time with his girls: 6 year old Sorcha and 4 year old Tierney. They are an ongoing example of the great potential that resides in all of us.
Dr. Tara graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto and has practiced in both Australia and the United Kingdom. A native of Southern Ontario, she has adapted easily to her home in Calgary and life among the Rocky Mountains.
Dr. Tara is a proud and passionate mother to Sorcha and Tierney. Together with Dr. Seth they prioritize family first.
Dr. Tara is a former national level heptathlete, Captain of the University of Windsor Basketball Team, and lifelong sport enthusiast.
She seeks overall wellness through healthy diet, an active lifestyle, laughter, relaxation and regular chiropractic care. She is always eager to inspire others and encourages patients to ask questions and be involved in their own health care. Dr. Tara likes to learn new things everyday.
Chiropractic is a safe, natural, drug-free, and effective method of health care. It is the third largest primary health care profession in the western world, next to medicine and dentistry, and it is one of the fastest growing.
Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between your spine and nervous system (the brain, spinal cord, and nerves exiting the spine) and how that relationship affects the restoration and preservation of health and well-being.
Chiropractic care is primarily aimed at the detection and correction of abnormal spinal movement and position (termed the vertebral subluxation). After thorough examination and analysis, chiropractors use carefully controlled and directed pressure (adjustments) to restore proper spinal function and thereby reduce interference to the vital nervous system. Chiropractors also recognise the importance of nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle factors on overall health and will often advise on these aspects during your care.
A healthy spine and nervous system, working at its very best, can help anyone at any time in their life; regardless of age, condition, presence or absence of disease, or obvious symptoms.
Chiropractic is not a 'treatment' as such for any particular symptom or disease, but rather a method of helping to ensure optimal joint function and nerve communication and is thus able to effectively assist the body in healing a wide array of symptoms and conditions.
Chiropractors undergo a rigorous 4 year professional education with an emphasis on neurology, diagnostic imaging, physiology, and spinal adjusting.

What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is an ancient technique that promotes the body's natural healing process. It involves the gentle insertion of thin, sterile needles into precise acupuncture points. The patient's signs and symptoms help to determine which points to use.
Most people assume that the needles we use are the same as those used to draw blood or give an injection. Acupuncture needles are quite different. Standard needles are thick and hollow to allow fluids to pass through. Acupuncture needles, on the other hand, are slender and fine. Furthermore, when examined under a microscope, you can see the tip is round, not pointed, as their purpose is to slide under the skin not puncture a vein. They don't create the painful sensation associated with getting a shot. People generally find acupuncture treatments to be relaxing and rejuvenating. All needles used at our facility are sterile and single use only, and are disposed of properly into a sharps container.
How Does Acupuncture Work?
The classical Chinese explanation is that channels of energy course through the body. These channels, also called meridians, are like rivers, bringing nourishment to muscles, tissues, and organs. An obstruction in these energy channels is like a dam that backs up and starves the tissues down stream. Injury and traumas are common causes of channel obstruction, but we also realize that emotional imbalances, poor diet, inactivity, lack of rest and chronic disease can impair channel circulation.
Needling acupuncture points directly influences the meridians. The precisely placed acupuncture needle unblocks the obstructions and reestablishes a regular flow through the meridians. This allows the body to receive the nourishment, recover from illness and return it's vitality.
Acupuncture helps the body to restore homeostasis. Our bodies are equipped with innate feedback loops which regulate everything from hormone levels to blood circulation to digestive processes. Sometimes our bodies become so imbalanced that these feedback loops fail to work. Acupuncture assists in 'reminding' the body what the normal balance is so that it can correct the imbalances and function correctly again.
Acupuncture is know to increase endorphins, the body's natural pain killers, and increase blood circulation. Therefore, injured tissues and organs can heal from the fresh blood supply, and remain pain free.
The World Health Organization created a list of diseases that respond well to acupuncture treatment. These include everything from constipation and diarrhea to headaches and bacterial infections.

Your feet have a direct impact on the rest of your body. Like the foundation of a house, your feet support the weight of everything above them. When a small problem develops in your feet, the subtle changes in the way you walk will cause a chain reaction of adjustments in your posture and walking mechanics.
